Community-wide Access to Tradition Coincides With Road Project Completion
Improvements Enhance Retail and Residential Access and Open New Opportunities at Florida Center for Innovation
The Town of Tradition is about to become more accessible than ever to the entire Port St. Lucie community with the completion of three major road improvement and interchange projects.
As the City of Port St. Lucie prepares to open the Becker Road/I-95 interchange July 31, additional roadway connections are greatly expanding access to the residential, commerce and research centers in Tradition.
On July 23, Tradition developer Core Communities opened the Crosstown Parkway and Village Parkway extensions at the northern entrance of the community, providing a new entry point for The Landing and Tradition Square commerce areas while alleviating congestion at the Gatlin Blvd. interchange.
Expansion of the Gatlin interchange will be completed Aug. 3, providing extra turning lanes, enhancing access for residents and visitors, and creating greater transportation access for researchers in the Florida Center for Innovation at Tradition.
Together, the Becker, Crosstown and Gatlin projects represent three major infrastructure improvements at various points along Tradition's nearly five-mile-long employment corridor to open within a period of approximately four months.
"With completion of the Village Parkway expansion connecting Crosstown and Becker expected within the next 12 months, these improvements will provide greater access to our I-95 frontage for potential commercial tenants while also opening additional land for ongoing development," said Tradition President Wesley McCurry. "In the immediate future, it provides additional transportation options to improve the commute for our residents, and for the thousands of shoppers and diners who visit Tradition each day."
Strong residential, retail and commercial growth has made Tradition one of the most popular master-planned communities in Florida and the nation. Recognized as the location of choice for new homebuyers from Port St. Lucie to the Palm Beaches, Tradition offers numerous new models in seven charming villages, a variety of townhomes and single-family homes starting in the $160s, a mix of family and age-restricted villages, and more than 800 acres of lakes, parks and nature preserves.
